As Scotland face the first few balls of the Australian attack it becomes clear that they cannot cope with the pace of Aussie openers Lee and McGrath. The first over is a maiden with Watts facing Lee.
Watts ducks a terrifying ball by Lee
The Scots soon get into some sort of a rhythm though, and begin to pick up singles now and then.
Watts and Haq also managed to pick up a boundary each. Haq hit first, lobbing one high in the air, but it came down safe and rolled to the fence. Watts seemed more confident when he cut a wider ball by McGrath beautifully through the covers.
A boundary each
It all went downhill for Scotland in the 8th over when Watts attempted to drive the covers and the ball struck his pad. Lee appealed and the umpires finger went up. It only got worse when Poonia was also trapped LBW on the very next ball, he went for a golden duck. Lee was on his hatrick but was foiled by a front foot defense by Watson. The final over of the first 10 past without event and Scotland are at 37/2.
Scotland were going well until the two quick wickets
