The End is near!!
Blind Society lose another one, only one game to go.
The Blind Society have lost their 6th BT20 game of the season.
Batting first, they posted a meagre 49 in 15 overs. Several key players sat out again. Prince Themba top scored with 12 off 16 balls, all his runs coming from boundaries, while Masimo Haishen made 10. Didier Courts made 9 opening the innings with a boundary, and Edward Kenny 6 from 8 with a boundary too. Dowe took 4/8 and Moodley 3/3. Havill took 2 wickets with the first two balls of the match.
In reply, the target was knocked over in 4.2 overs. Whittles gave away 19 from 2 opening the bowling, Van niekerk 23 in two and Didier Courts two boundaries in two balls. Opener French hit 3 sixes in his Man-of-the-Match winning 29, and Lias 3 fours in his 21.
"We didn't expect much different," commented skipper Lewis Carey. "But tommorrow's match is quite winnable, and we are all focused on that."
The Blind Society play the Gayle Force Pirates tommorrow in their final BT20 of the season. GFP themselves are a newly-formed team, and the Blind Society will be looking to pull of their first win.

Net Sessions!!
Well, today was training day, and I must say, it was rather interesting (You'd think I'd be used to it after all this time)! Training a bunch of blind cricketers can be quite fun and enlightining, although rather dangerous at times! After 3 hours of bowling, batting, ducking stray balls and pushing the guys out of their path, there were some positives to be gained:
+ Bonner, Floors, Elvins, Mpho Gomez and Brookes all showed signs of improvement.
Not much, but steady improvement.
