Story The Challenge - A Battrick Story

The End is near!!

Blind Society lose another one, only one game to go.

The Blind Society have lost their 6th BT20 game of the season.
Batting first, they posted a meagre 49 in 15 overs. Several key players sat out again. Prince Themba top scored with 12 off 16 balls, all his runs coming from boundaries, while Masimo Haishen made 10. Didier Courts made 9 opening the innings with a boundary, and Edward Kenny 6 from 8 with a boundary too. Dowe took 4/8 and Moodley 3/3. Havill took 2 wickets with the first two balls of the match.
In reply, the target was knocked over in 4.2 overs. Whittles gave away 19 from 2 opening the bowling, Van niekerk 23 in two and Didier Courts two boundaries in two balls. Opener French hit 3 sixes in his Man-of-the-Match winning 29, and Lias 3 fours in his 21.
"We didn't expect much different," commented skipper Lewis Carey. "But tommorrow's match is quite winnable, and we are all focused on that."
The Blind Society play the Gayle Force Pirates tommorrow in their final BT20 of the season. GFP themselves are a newly-formed team, and the Blind Society will be looking to pull of their first win.

Net Sessions!!

Well, today was training day, and I must say, it was rather interesting (You'd think I'd be used to it after all this time)! Training a bunch of blind cricketers can be quite fun and enlightining, although rather dangerous at times! After 3 hours of bowling, batting, ducking stray balls and pushing the guys out of their path, there were some positives to be gained:
+ Bonner, Floors, Elvins, Mpho Gomez and Brookes all showed signs of improvement.

Not much, but steady improvement.

Alright. Since FC games have come, and with my board exams nearing, I don't want to do this anymore. I couldn't be too bothered about it when we started it anyways, but I had free time then. Now my time is scarcer, I want it to go out, to study, and what is left to spend on my team more than this thread. So, I'm out. I'll be continuing the challenge, and any updates will be made in the sub-forum. If Naufal wants, this thread will remain open and he can continue it, because it was his idea :p

Sorry.

Thats sad! We need someone to make a new TT Lions type story, I cant do it cause im in college's last semester

I'm doing a story for my BT team. I doubt it'll be like the TT Lions story (Which I never saw), but it's alright. :p

Alright, there is no time constraint in stories. Good luck Zorax for the exams. And Effine/Zorax.. You can update whenever you want like once in every week ( how the week was for your team ) etc.. :)

Penguins denied entry into national cup
Penguins and TBS suffer in Twenty-20

In recent news that we have got, sources tell that Sneaky Penguins haven't been able to get a spot in the national cup. The Management have tried their best, but the WCB chairman has given a large 'NO' in reply. "We let you in the OD and FC league, we fianlly agree to let you into the Twenty-20, all of which has been poor performances so far. So we wouldnt risk it by playing you for the cup as well. Prove yourself in FC and OD, we will take you in next season"

Meanwhile in older news, both the Penguins and The Blind Society haven't put up a great performance in the Twenty-20 matches. Both the teams ended up bottom of their respective leagues. Losing all matches, except for the Penguins tieing one of them.

This is sad to hear. Anyways looking forward to play both the teams in BT shield

Take this in a positive manner, " You have got a rest on Sundays after hectic weekdays.. yay!!! "

Good luck to FC's and league games. :)

I could have been playing and getting much needed friendly. Now I cant even get a guy for a friendly...

This is sad to hear. Anyways looking forward to play both the teams in BT shield
