But I think India did a good job during their batting PP. They scored 50 runs without loosing a wicket!
 
A two match ban for slow over rates is a bit harsh, and with Dhoni's recent form it'd be a massive a blow to lose him for the best part of the ODI series.

Dinesh Karthik would probably be the ideal replacement for Dhoni but I wouldn't mind to see Wridhiman Saha or maybe even Robin Uthappa given a go.
 
Well, it is official. Sehwag will take over the reins of the team, now that Dhoni has been banned. MSD's absence will definitely be missed. He was a monumental figure of our middle order. And MSD's going means KKD's coming, right? God o God! :facepalm

Everyones is unhappy since Dhoni is banned and the worst Karthik is back

Personally I'd like to see Uthappa brought back, anyone know where he is nowadays? He hasn't played a ODI for India in about a year if I can recall.
 
But has Uthappa done well in the domestic games?
What about Badrinath? He's been waiting for ages! But since we need a Wicket Keeper Batsman, why not Dinesh karthik? He has something to prove.

Uthappa had a pretty ordinary season in the Ranji trophy super league, averaging 32 with the bat and scoring 228 runs in the 5 matches he played.

Dinesh Karthik will most likely get the nod to play at this stage.
 
Dhoni got banned for two matches because of a slow over rate for ONE match?

Wait........what?

I thought that the penalty for slow over rates comprised of around 80 to 100 percent match fee? Since when have they started banning captains for a thing like slow over rates? :eek:

Better cricket in powerplay? India scored 100+ in the last 10 overs. You can't expect more than that.

Right on target! Infact, it was around that time Dhoni increased the scoring rate. In the first game, they lost 3 wickets for just over 30 runs. That is ordinary
