Has been the policy for a number of years, but only for serious offenses. Basically, if a completed innings, after deductions for wickets, drinks, injuries referrals and misc. breaks (eg, bees) still runs 30 minutes over, the captain will be suspended.Dhoni got banned for two matches because of a slow over rate for ONE match?
Wait........what?
I thought that the penalty for slow over rates comprised of around 80 to 100 percent match fee? Since when have they started banning captains for a thing like slow over rates?![]()
