New Zealand's Tour of Bangladesh

that Vettori is not even a pure batsman and we could not get him out earlier,

That's probably why he's so successful. He's unorthodox with his batting. Hard to set fields for. I think he's pretty good against spin, Bangladesh may have been better off if they bowled more pace.

Congratulations NZ,but here i would also like to congratulate BD,they played tough Cricket,Vettori played lovely,he came yesterday as a nightwatchman,B.McCullum failed in both the inngs,Vettori deserved Man-of-the-Match award for his batting and 9 wickets!!

BD will give another fighting in 2nd match.

Well played bangladesh.:clap You should have won this game. All the best for next Game.

Bangladesh is going to win this game. All the best Bangladesh.

NZ will miss Oham today,he is a fine and No1 All rounder (as per new ratings),BD will again try to pressure NZ as they play on their own turf, but i think if NZ play sensible cricket (which they will try to play, after 1st test, they now realise that BD is a good team and they were put in pressure in 1st test),NZ definately missing Shane Bond here.

Oram didn't do much last test. I don't rate Oram's batting ability in tests on sub-continent pitches so no real loss there. His bowling will be missed. Elliot gets a chance though and hopefully will do well so Flynn can be dropped for the Aussie tests.

My eleven:
Redmond
How
Ryder
Taylor
McCullum
Flynn
Elliot
Vettori
Mills
Southee
O'Brien

Patel wasn't impressive enough in helpful conditions last game. New Zealand needs to do 1 of 2 things
1. Keep him playing so he can gain rhythm. So basically use him for a period of time rather than the odd game here and there
2. Do what they're doing now and only use him in helpful conditions.

I think Southee should play as the experience will do him good. Gillespie could play, he had a good first test match. With no Oram, we probably need a 3rd seamer. Elliot bowls some good little mediums which will be handy, but not up to Oram's standard.

Looks like we're not going to see much play today or for the whole match.

holly shizzle:mad

12:30 local time: The drizzle continues! It is the effect of depression in the Bay of Bengal. It does not look good for tomorrow, things may improve on Monday.
Monday? why even bother. NZ can pack their stuff and just go home

When it starts raining in Dhaka, it doesnt stop for at least a week. On top of that, the weather is not too good. There's something happening in the Bay of Bengal.

So Bangladesh do have a chance to get a draw here or even win the match :D

Damn, it'll be our first draw against Bangladesh. Is it possible for it to not count if there's continuous rain?

Stumps day 2: The umpires have decided to call off play on day 2 as the rain continues. It will be an early start tomorrow at 09:00 local time.

NZ just leave!! go home, spend some time with your wife and kids... that goes for BD too

Tropical Cyclone is heading towards Bangladesh so NZ team must leave ASAP for their safety though Dhaka is pretty safe.

It won't be a draw if its not played at all, it will be considered abandoned.
