I was planning on releasing today but the user interface is not up to scratch. Might have to wait a couple more days.

Two days over Abhinav.
I hope that you release it today itself. ;)

I guess I've kept you guys waiting too long. It'll be out today.

Since this thread is about file formats, I'll shed some light on formats I've encountered till now. The big file is a really big archive containing most files in compressed form. It has 17094 files, many of which are not used by the game.

WAD - These are archives similar in structure to the big file. Not related to WAD archives used in other popular games.

Texpack - Texture packs containing textures in DDS format.

FSB - Sound files in FMOD's FSB format.

XML/OSS - There are a few of these files that seem to control various in-game settings.

Model - Contains model data(I guess) and some of them contain texpack files.

Morpheme - Probably animations created using NaturalMotion's morpheme.

DWA - Stands for Darwin animation, I think. Haven't found anything about these files and haven't tried to crack them either. These files are related to the user interface(ingame menus).

DB - There is only one such file I've found till now and it contains gameplay related settings. Probably the key to cracking the AI.

I said this b4 & say it again

would it be possible to have a LAN option instead of Logging in Online ?

like redirect the ip address on a loop, confuse it so u can play LAN

Then we could use the Beta 2 patch & use Hamachi VPN to play online instead of signing into Codies

I aint clever enough to do it :facepalm

cheers

btw: did anyone use hamachi for any other cricket LAN game ? does EA07 have LAN ?

I think I've said this before. You would have to understand the protocol used for communication between the game and server.
It doesn't work the way you think. You can't just replace the server address to someone else's IP and play a game with them. It would require an independent server to enable playing with beta 2 patches. While it is possible, it is neither easy nor cheap.
