Any of the FTA channels can show the T20 WC, its not soley Nine's fault, they all have equal choice yet all turned it down. All matches will be shown starting at what, 3 or 4am Aussie time?

He is just an IPL bully imo. There are many of those these days.

Well its not as if he has struggled in Australian colours. The man is top-class without a doubt & would walk into any other international team in the world.

He hasn't been outstanding for us either like others recently have been, good international batsmen will murder him imo.

10 games starting around 11:30 pm, 12 games starting at about 3 am and two day-night games that start at 7 am. The finals will start at 1:30 am.

If these figures are right on Cricinfo, then Brett Lee took 1/13 from his 4 overs this morning against Zimbabwe. His main competition for that 4th bowling spot, not so good: Dan Christian bowled 2 overs 0/29 and Hauritz 2 overs 0/24. Advantage Lee!

It'll be interesting to see what Australia run with. Will they even play 4 specialist bowlers? Or will Smith be stuffed down at #8? If so then it's Mike Hussey v Dan Christian for that extra middle order spot. And Lee and Hauritz will find it hard to beat out Johnson, Nannes and Tait for the 3 specialist bowler spots.

If they go for the extra bowler (yes - please play the extra bowler!!) , then it's Lee v Hauritz v Christian for the bowling spot. I dunno about Christian - he hasn't filled me with much confidence so far. He's got a very hittable look about his bowling aka Peter Siddle when he's flat.

Very odd comment my friend. I dont recall ever seeing Nannes bowling poorly in any of the 7 International T20s he has played for Australia to date (except that last T20 when McCullum scored that hundred). But McCullum is one of the best T20 bats in the game & he would have smoked anyone that day, in that form.

I cannot see good international batsmen murdering Nannes at all consistently. But rather Nannes will hold his own, since he is clealry one of the best T20 bowlers in the world.

We can pretty much cancel out Hauritz and Christian. Mike Hussey hasn't played a T20 since the last World Cup so they are taking a big gamble there. We need Haddin to stand up, can't have him continue his current T20 record.

Clarke for one, White should be captain. Bollinger and Harris should be there. Dont see Haddin making an impact, or both Hussey's.

Yea Clarke shouldn't be in the team, problem is the replacements either don't have International experience or aren't good enough for T20.

I feel you pain. We all know Clarke shouldn't be in the team. Marsh/Warner should have been opening with Watson @ 3. But i dunno Clarke looked decent in that last T20 in NZ, so i'm willing to give him a chance. But if he struggles in this tournament - the selectors will have to rethink his position for sure.

Bollinger yea definately should have been in. But to be fair to the selectors , when they picked the squad Bollinger didn't start dominating in the IPL has yet. So they couldn't do much.

I dont have much issue with Haddin & D Hussey having an impact with the blade though. But yea i'm not sure about M Hussey.

Pace bowling wasn't too much of a factor in the warm up but yea it would be good having one more as backup over Paine. Haddin is a bit too hit and miss at 6 which leads to the collapses we have seen. Having that Mike Hussey finishes at 6 from ODIs is what we could use in T20.

aussie1st added 4 Minutes and 0 Seconds later...

Watson's bowling doesn't seem to be as effective atm, I noticed in the IPL he was taking a bit of stick and same happened here. Even more reason to have Smith at 7 to cover him.
