So having sunk 21 hours into the game, finally, on PC, I've noticed a few things.

1. Videos like Gareth Weaver, there are bat sponsorships for various career targets - this seems to be absent on my career play-through thus far. EDIT: Turns out Gareth is a sneaky bugger and did some video editing. lol. :)

2. (More of a bug) Pitch variations are pretty much nil - in club games. Which makes it rather dull, and no I can't be bothered manually mixing it up, its a bit of an immersion breaker for me.

3. (Another bug, still) Pretty disappointed to see this bug still in the game, all the way back to DB17 it traces. When I got selected to Victoria, as I am an opener, by default I pushed Travis Dean or Aaron Finch out purely because they bat the same position. It makes no sense, surely a new guy would come in at 5,6 or 7. And for some reason, I was made, as a 35 overall twenty year old on debut, Captain.

4. Statistics for a season simply don't work, sort filter and ordering (for example) from most wickets to least doesn't work and conjures up non-nonsensical data.

5. Setting fields sometimes just resets to a preset field.

As much as I am enjoying the career mode, there are plenty of small things that accumulate to a ultimately annoying experience.

What are other people's thoughts on it so far?

So that first one, I add those in while I edit the video. Something I’ve wanted to see in the game for a while so did it myself haha
Has there been any word from the devs about why sponsorships aren't in the game, like they said before the release?

About the stats, I do like them in the sense that they’ve got it better than most iterations of their cricket games. Though what you’re saying could possibly be fixed by an update (hopefully)!

On the fields, I totally agree, what’s more annoying is when you get a batsman out with a good field setting, a new batsman comes in, suddenly that field becomes ‘invalid’ according to the game. Happened to me while playing some test matches!

All you have to do is press X on the match conditions screen to randomize the conditions.
