Also, watching the highlights, it's surprising how big Joe Root looks when he's stood next to James Taylor. :p

Take a look at Finn! :

I more meant that Root looked like a giant, until they panned out to the rest of the team and you realise that he's quite small too.

Good to see us picking our wicket taking bowlers. You need to take wickets with the regulations these days, so Finn coming into form is very welcome. I would love to see either Jordan or Tredwell in for Bopara, just to give us another specialist, but I can guess you can't have everything. :D

Why would we want to drop Bopara. Even if they wanted to squeeze the extra bowler in (which in my opinion is bad idea as we already have 5 proper bowlers in the team), why does it have to be Bopara who gets the chop. He's been so consistent with the bat for 18 months. It's ridiculous that people still call for him to be dropped.

The bit in bold, has he? Prove it.

At the moment we have to get at least 10 overs from Bopara and Ali. Whilst Ali has proven that he can get through his 10 overs, he's not going to bag you a load of wickets. I just think we need to have a wicket taking threat at all times. We're unlikely to chase down 320+, so we need to restrict teams. How do we do that? We take wickets. Bopara and Ali wouldn't be as good at that as a specialist bowler, hence why I'd get the extra bowler in. After that, it's just a case of Bopara, Taylor or Root to drop out and I'd go for Bopara personally.

Its ridiculous that Dhoni is trying to slot Kohli into the No.4 slot. I was thinking it was just to give others some practice before the World Cup. Kohli has to reclaim his No.3 spot when the WC starts. Its better not to delay Kohli's charge. Kohli needs some time in the middle and cannot just come out and start bashing. He is not that type of a player.

yup certainly a ridiculous move if they are carrying this to world cup, if we really need stability at top just bring vijay in by whatever means..this is going into worldcup without faith on openers and then mcuking around the rest of the batting order.

Kohli is not being slotted in at #4. Yes I know he has played there in the first two matches, but the reasons have been obvious. Its obvious they want to try Rahane against the new ball, and that is why he was sent in at #3 in the first match ahead of Kohli, and in the 2nd one its natural that they would want to give some time in the middle to Rayudu who has not had any batting in Australia, and thus again Rayudu was promoted and Kohli had to drop to 4.

Kohli, come Feb 15 will be right up at #3.

It's great to see Bell back in form again, lets hope he carries this form into the WC and also the following test series in the Caribbean.
