Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe in Bangladesh (Dec 08-Jan 09)

Good start for Bangladesh. But Sri Lanka have the key man out there and Mahela will be looking to get a century in his 100th test. Cant wait to see Mendis bowling.

SL in trouble as Jayawardene departs,SL42/3 in 20 overs.Sangakkara gone for just 5 runs,BD have done a good job so far,3 wickets before end of 1st session.

could have been 4.

one dropped catch (Mahela, though he is sent back)
one missed stumping, and he is on 30! would be shame if he keeps this up!

Dilshan got his century and together with Kapugedera they have getting very quick runs. Kapugedera was just dropped of Mortaza's bowling. They're now at 259-5 and should get more then 350 runs.

Dilshan was dropped at 19 or something

Wanapura was dropped, made 63
Dilshan dropped made 100+
Kapugedera on his way to 50, dont know when he was dropped but was on Mash's bowling!

gosh! SL doing exactly what bangladesh did to them on the last test, except they never got a life, like the SL batsman got

TM Dilshan 162runs (230m 165b 21x4 2x6) SR: 98.18 ...Fantastic...He has rescued SL,Kapugedera is also close to his 100....SL has recovered well from early loss of wickets...

Bangladesh at times look like a much better side than even a year ago, but catching continues to be a mess. Today it cost them 140 runs. It's unlikely that even the best batsman in Bangladesh can make up for that, but what is more likely is that there is someone who could hold their catches and score 20 or 30.

our keeper is a mass. Dilshan alone cost BD 130 odd (missed out twice), then there is Warnapura and Kapugedera both was dropped early on. if you add them up its almost 290-300

MacLovin added 1 Minutes and 51 Seconds later...

i would like to know which team you guys are supporting (none BD / SL members)
and pick your player....rather then Mendies

post #1 along with your post to vote for BD and #2 for SL :D

Well it was Sri Lanka's day as Dilshan and Kapugedera stole the limelight. The Bangladesh team would be kicking themselves after grabbing three top order wickets, they allowed the pair of Dilshan and Kapugedera to get away. SL scored an amazing 371 runs of 90 overs at more than 4 an over. Dilshan played the innings of his life while Kapugedera too contributed in equal measure. We are in for another fascinating day tomorrow as Kapugedera looks for his maiden hundred in Test match cricket.

Great stuff from Dilshan. Another one of those underrate players, he has done allot of good thing for Sri Lanka in the last year or so. Good to see him make a big score.

Bangladesh have mopped up the tail, Shakib has done extremely well in taking three wickets this morning, all the victims were LBW's, now Bangladesh would be looking to bat well in the first dig, Mendis will certainly be a threat here.

did Prasad get injured or are Sri Lanka just giving Fernando a chance. Prasad played really well in the 1st test and actually got wickets.
