When will teams be announced ? Is there any news about this announcement?

I would guess Sri Lanka would announce it either towards the end of or after their tour of Bangladesh.

Sri Lanka on Sunday said it was keen to host a One-day series against India in between its proposed cricket tour to Pakistan scheduled from January 20.

Anyways, I see SL beating Pakistan comfortably. As said, Pakistan lack serious test form (having not played test since like ages!). Plus Mendis is going to be a big threat for any team at the early stages of his career. Sri Lanka all the way.

Sri Lanka lost a match against Bangladesh and narrowly won the second match against them. A great way to come to Pakistan. Although I would say both teams (Sri Lanka and Bangladesh) struggled, because of the pitch conditions. In Pakistan there will a different pitch.

About Pakistan lacking cricket: it's not like they haven't been doing anything. They actually played domestic cricket and Tanvir and Gul featured in some matches in Australian Twenty20's.
