I wouldn't go down the route of copying exact actions, but do more like what MuchMore said. Sure, there can be things which are borrowed off certain bowlers, but there's no point trying to get everything exactly like a real bowler, else JK will never finish!

I would go for the following for fast/medium bowlers:
Front-on (like Flintoff/Harmison)
Side-on (like Anderson)
No-jump-in-delivery-stride (like McGrath/Collingwood and probably lots more)
Slinger

Then for leg-spin I'd do:
Lazy (Shane Warne-style, walk up and bowl it)
Boundy (Kumble-ish, probably some younger spinners too)

And for off-spin:
Orthodox
Bent arm

i think toms list is a good list, otherwise we will end up with too many bowling animations and jk will never get through them all in time for the video on 4th october

I would add a high action to the list of fast bowlers for bowlers such as Harmison much like Walsh and Ambrose who leaped high and brought their arms all the way up. Tall players with actions like this generate hostile bounce.

Will actions have effect on bowling? I would love to see a high arm action getting more bounce and things like that.

Well, My Dream atleast for the inital release of TAOC is to model the following actions :-

Fast / Fast Medium - Brett Lee
Fast / Fast Medium - James Anderson
Fast / Fast Medium - Ishant Sharma
Fast / Fast Medium SLINGY - Malinga

Medium / Medium Fast - Collingwood
Medium / Medium Fast - Hilfenhaus

Off Spin - Sehwag
Off Spin - Chris Gayle
Off Spin - Harbhajan Singh
Off Spin - Murali

Leg Spin - Shane Warne
Leg Spin - Afridi

THIS IS JUST A DREAM THOUGH !! i'll try my best to pull it off
but time is of the essence here which doesnt allow me to do too many ! :(

Remove Anderson ,Gayle and Harbhajan from the list and modify Ishant slightly so that it can be suited to Dale Steyn as well rest are fine.

I think for left Arm bowlers Wahab Riaz or Muhammad Aamer action will suit the best because it can be applied to Zaheer Khan ,Irfan Pathan and Mitchel Jhonson altogether.

Yes, the ball will come out of the bowler's and at the exact spot of his hand, so if he's taller or his hand releases higher then the ball will begin it's flight from a higher position, which will effect it's path.

This one just struck in my mind. Will there be details on the bowlers' face while delivering the ball.Like how Razzak closes his eyes or Murali opening his mouth wide with his eyes just bulging out?
Will be terrific when watching the replays in a match.
Am I asking for too much?
