Story The Challenge - A Battrick Story

Was it weird to play against Dennis

Forgot he was in your team actually :p And didn't see the commentary, so not really.

Blind Society sign promising youngster!!
Talented spinner a product of youth infrastructure!

The Blind Society have just offered young left arm spinner Dylan Nicholl a contract. Nicholl is a product of the team's youth academy, having represented them at U-13, U-15 and U-19 level.
"I'm thrilled and delighted at this contract," said Nicholl. "I've always looked for a future in engineering and taken cricket as a hobby, but this is great, albeit unexpected! I hope to make the first XI soon and to do well for the team!"
Dylan -20 years of age- is a Left arm orthodox spinner who has slowly but steadily risen up the ranks. Dylan went blind at the age of 7, and signed up with the academy at the age of 11. A year later he made his cricketing debut at U-13 level, and was the leading wicket taker at U-15 level. But school took priority, and he was in and out of the academy, but was a front-line spinner when he was in. Currently studying in college, he impressed manager Zorax at one of the youth practice game. A week later he was offered a contract to the main team, which he accepted immediately.
"He is a good bowler. Doesn't bowl a huge amount of bad balls and can bowl a decent length spell. Probably will have to fight to get a first XI spot as he isn't a good batsman or fielder, but will add some good depth and variety to the team. Definitely will get quite a few games."
Dylan could make his debut in one of the two upcoming BT20 games, but will most likely have to wait a few weeks before playing in a match.

I'm loving this story.

Absolutely superbly written and I love the in depth details!

Gilly I know about the challenge.

I'm finding it absolutely amazing to follow.

Basically I think it's going to revolve around the youth academies.

I would love to play either team if they wanted a game?

Newcys Brown Ale (7479)

Best batter is Mcbean med stam/ strong bat / comp concentration
Best bowler is Fabian woe stam/ feeb bat / comp (should pop this week) bowl / prof consistency.

I think you might be way ahead of us, so that's no for the friendly. Unless you can rest some players?

Sorry my brother got on the PC.

Yeah I'll rest Mcbean, Heselton and Fabian.

Penguins walk on thin ice
AP burn down Penguins

Continuing their losing streak, The Penguins went through a slow walk to defeat as AP tormented the Penguins to another defeat. winning the toss and batting first, the Penguins went off to make 140 off 45.3 overs, with Hiller making 33 and Pine continued his good form with a 40. Pollard and Frikkie claimed the top and middle order, while Berry cleaned the tail. Star batsman Fabian continued his poor form, getting out for another duck. The total was chased down in 25 overs, with Louis, the Man of the Match, scoring 76 and Xolani 62. Allott, Rogan and Roe bowled pretty well. The Penguins have recorded 7 losses and a tie so far in 8 matches.

On the positive side, Rogan has started gettign used to the heat of the carribean...

An issue is, when signing youth from the academy. For the Sneaky Penguins, they can only sign penguins. Where as the Blind society can MAKE their blind =P

This has been a fantastic story till now like your previous TT lions thing. How about entering into this month's SOTM? Just my opinion though. :)

We as a reader cant really compare how your going, I honestly preferred the Lions storys but this is currently the best one out there
