Next Codemasters game - Ashes Cricket 2009

There is obviously going to be a game, but much like the EA version, its just going to be BLIC/RPIC 2007 reboxed.

Its awesome being a cricket fan!

In the pre-order book at work there is a game listed as Ashes Cricket 2009, made by Codemasters, released 8th July...

I can take photos if any of guys don't believe me but it is definitely a real game...

And, Gas, you've hit the nail on the head, i'm cynical about cricket games because they're all crap! I think Brian Lara 2007 on my old Sony Ericsson was better than the Xbox version

On an interesting side note my manager was at an EA conference earlier he said the EA Grand slam tennis game looks unreal...

That is good news but I hope it doesn't focus the majority of the game on the Ashes (it probably will though). Thanks for uploading the pictures

lol we do sell a lot of **** - fortunately we sell so many games bound 2 b sum gd stuff as well.

I'll do my best to find out sum stuff bout it. We got the big wigs from activision coming in friday i mite as well ask them if they no nethin bout cricket games - u neva no lol

What I feel is that there must be a mind game going between EA and Codies. When EA were about to make announcement, they denied it and its same with codemasters.

I feel that codies game will be surely coming this year so we can hold our breath.

Push backs do happen, but not really when they've already got to that stage, especially with a cricket game. There is a game, and i'd bet my best hat on it coming out as shown.

A pet hate of mine - it's the Ashes, not "ASHES".

Good to hear there at least is a game in development.
