Aww, just when things were starting to get interesting! Ah well, I'm definitely going to go see the final in Lahore on Saturday!

Over very quickly after that breakthrough. It is such a long tail in big chases.

Interestingly, while it seems Pakistan's top players faced Mendis well, the same could not be said of their weaker ones. He should remain a very good player to have in a run chase. Observers of the recent Australian series have been commenting on the increasing standards set by lower order batsmen; a player like Mendis puts the bar back up for lower orders.

Spinners especially the more mysterious ones generally get tail ender wickets easier. With the quickies of South Africa and Australia there was no surprise ball which a tail ender would not be able to read.

Kulasekara has being doing well over the last few months. He is doing the kind of job Vaas used to do, keep it tight and get the early Breakthrough.Very different results between the two matches, this should come down to the wire.

I can see Mendis ripping through our lower order and probably top order when they first face him. They have struggled against good spinners as they showed in India where we bealy saw these huge lower order partnerships.

If they want someone on form they should take Yasir Arafat. He took 7-45 in the second innings and 4-54 in the first innings in the last first class match he played. Akhtar took 7 wickets also in that match: Cricinfo - Group A: Khan Research Laboratories v Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited at Rawalpindi, Jan 9-11, 2009

Another guy on form is Sohail Khan, who took took 5-90 in the first innings: Cricinfo - Group A: National Bank of Pakistan v Sui Southern Gas Corporation at Karachi, Jan 9-12, 2009

Dilshan certainly doing a good job at the top of the order. Pakistan struggling to contain SL again, they will need their batters to fire as a big total is coming.

Iftikhar Anjum...5 overs for 53...ouch.

Shoaib Akhtar's "ridiculous" economy rate of 6 is not looking so bad now.

Sri Lanka have a history of playing well in Pakistan, I don't think they have lost a test series there since 91/2.

Normally Sri Lanka does well in Pakistan and Pakistan wins matches in Sri Lanka. And the way it's going it's probably Sri Lanka who will win this match.

Good dam 17/4, looks like one of those matches where the pitch looks good for one side and turns into a mine field for the other.

Well you know you have problems when Umar Gul is coming out to bat in the 8th over. Can't recall a collapse this bad from a major team ever.
