So you'd have Kieswetter in the squad, but then bat him at a position he's not used to playing in One Day cricket? Makes about as much sense as England playing Steven Davies at 5/6 wherever he batted against Australia. I'd have him opening personally, I don't think 2 good innings from Cook should warrant his inclusion back in the ODi side. Ian Bell deserves another go before Cook gets a shot. He had an excellent season with Warwickshire, and actually has a more than decent ODi record. He gets far too much unwarranted abuse I think.

That Test batting line-up looks quite thin as well. I'm also not sure that Rashid's good enough for Test cricket yet, and I certainly wouldn't play 2 spinners in South Africa. I'd go with another batsman, Bell for me, especially at 6, but there are quite a few options.

TBH, Praveen is a bowler who just bowl skiddy medium pace, if the conditions are right for him, he'll end with figures of 2-30-10, but if it isn't he'll get tonked.

I don't see Praveen as a guy who'll get tonked regularly. I think he's our best operator on unresponsive pitches (Similar to say, Hilfenhaus for Australia)
