Yea they didnt say whether they won that test match or not. lol you would assume that they did win, but you never know

I really hope they update the game for PS3, for example Fifa who update players states such as who's really out of form etc....Now that would be great but i highly doubt that would happen.

it would have been better if they licenced the 20/20 wrld cup rather then the ashes

who agrees with me

I don't agree. The Ashes is easily the biggest sporting rivalry in the world. The Twenty20 will be finished next Sunday.

Yeah, then we'd have the fun of playing yet another cricket game where the whole point is to smash every ball for six.

second that... also a little biased... since how poor aus are at T20 lol. cant wait for the ashes to start should be a good series

Whoah, step outside the box dude, there are some huge rivalries that stomp all over the ashes in terms of following, especially in soccer (Boca Juniors v Riva Plate and Man U v Chelsea/Liverpool which is followed the world over). Only England and Aus care about the Ashes, and even then the following isnt that big. Also consider the realtively small population of these countries compared to that of South America, USA, Asia etc. I would go as far to say that NCA versus UCLA in college football is followed by more people than the Ashes just in terms of population. I would also say more people on a whole have a greater interest in India v Pakistan clashes in the cricket.

He never said it was the rivalry with the most followers, so you're kind of pushing against an open door there. The Ashes is a very long-standing competition, with a a colourful history which Man Utd/Chelsea cannot compare to. That's only been going for 10 years properly, whereas the Ashes has been going since 1882.

Oh, I thought the word 'biggest' meant the most popular and most followed. Didnt realise it meant the oldest.

Reason I commented was that game companies put most resources into games that are heavily followed - look at FIFA and NFL. Not cricket and table tennis. Its why there are no quality cricket games. And it would be better to market a game for 20/20 cricket considering how big it is in the subcontinent - more people watched the IPL than would watch the Ashes....

There isn't a rivalry more historic and intense as that between England and Australia. That's what I meant.

Sorry dude. Thought you meant the most popular cos it was in the context of how many people watch the 20 20 World Cup, and I think it would be billions and would make sense to market a game accordingly.

Well, easily agreeable if you're english or an australian. Not to lead into downgrading the series', but if you're a citizen of a country of other rivalries in Cricket, You'd not necessarily agree with the 'most Intense' point. Every rivalry has it's different origins of cause no matter how old, and specialties and intensiveness. Just saying, I love ashes myself. The severe legendary Rivalry that's running for ages. But it shouldn't mean that the other rivalries are tiny or supposedly don't exist alongside the ashes.

Well, looking at the site we're all posting in, i think a couple of patches would be made for licensing that less or more will be as similar as the Codies can get/do. What at most will a T20 WC License have? Real Team names, Kits, stuff and an in-game sprites of T20 WC, ICC and Sponsors. And Everything 20/20 is included in the game. Free hits, T20 style gameplay (as stated) and loads more stuff; Where as, Something like Ashes is like an Intrigue, and has all tastes and formats of Cricket, And is easily worth getting the licenses and an Ashes series lasts long enough for the game's delight.
